Fall vs. Spring Recruitment

Fall recruitment is formal and gives women the opportunity to meet all of the sororities before she makes a choice on which one to join.  Spring recruitment is informal.  Contact Stephanie Warren if you would like additional information about our Fall recruitment!

Formal Recruitment Application Process

We encourage any woman who has even a slight interest in being in a sorority to go through recruitment.  This will allow you to learn more about greek life at Truman and find where you fit into it.

Watch for recruitment brochures in the mail this summer.  To sign up for sorority recruitment, you will need to fill out a registration form.  You can find these forms either in the mail (first year students) or at tables set up in Ryle, Centennial, Violette Hall, and the Student Union Building.

Sigma Kappa Hazing Policy

Sigma Kappa Sorority considers hazing to be a most destructive and degrading activity which is inconsistent with our ideals and standards.  The dignity of every individual is recognized and all forms of hazing are opposed.  Truman also has a zero tolerance policy on hazing and no forms whatsoever are allowed.
